How We Began
A Place Built
on Purpose
True Recovery was founded by Pastor Tim Taylor, an Alabama native who believes that addiction treatment deserves a better setting — one that honors our Creator by healing and helping men.
We chose this land deliberately. The towering white oaks, the marshy wetlands, the whitetail deer at dawn, the wood ducks on still water — these aren't amenities. They're co-therapists. Research consistently shows that time in natural settings reduces cortisol, improves mood, and accelerates healing.
We help men find their way back to God. The land hasn't changed. Our commitment hasn't changed. Only the number of lives touched has grown.

Founder
An Alabama native and founder of True Recovery. Tim built this program on the belief that faith is the first step in recovery and our progress depends on our spiritual growth.
Haley Guevara
Administrator
Haley is a former educator who has found her passion in working with families of those in recovery and the people in our program. Haley believes deeply that recovery is possible for everyone.
A.J. Brown
Campus Manager
A.J. found recovery in North Alabama and now dedicates his life to walking this journey with those who join our program. A.J. is a living testimony of what Christ can do to the heart of a man.
